◣ Chemical Structure
Polyaspartic ester resin is prepared by Michael‑addition reaction of aliphatic or cycloaliphatic diamines or polyamines with maleate esters. The secondary amino groups of polyaspartic ester resin feature higher reactivity than hydroxyl groups in ordinary polyurethane resins, supporting fast curing without baking or external heating.
Compared with conventional amino resins, polyaspartic ester resins react at a lower rate with isocyanates, which effectively prolongs gel time. Extended gel time reduces construction requirements and greatly broadens its application scope.
◣ Product Features
Variable Reactivity: Benefiting from diverse aliphatic‑amine structures, polyaspartic ester resins feature variable reactivity. Cross‑linked with isocyanates and other cross‑linkers, they are widely used in CASE sectors including industrial coatings, waterproofing, anti‑corrosion, flooring and adhesives.
Excellent Mechanical Properties: The fully‑cured material boasts high hardness, superior abrasion resistance, great impact resistance and high fracture strength.
Chemical Resistance: It shows good resistance to a variety of chemicals, such as acids, alkalis and solvents.
Weather Resistance: It delivers excellent UV‑resistance and anti‑aging performance under outdoor exposure.
Low Viscosity: Easy‑to‑process and convenient for coating application. It allows great formulation flexibility and is compatible with various construction processes.
Coatings: Applied in high‑performance protective coatings, including marine coatings, construction machinery coatings, substrate protection & refurbishment coatings, floor coatings, waterproof coatings, etc.
